The vital artery of Barcelona that connects the city with the harbour is the Ramblas, a thoroughfare
that is both popular and touristic. Along the Ramblas are stalls sectioned in plants, newsstands,
books, birds and fish, giving color and life to an unforgetable walkway, that is open 24 hours a day.

Next we walked our lunch off on the Ramblas, leading our way to the harbour where we would take a boat tour of the Mediterranean of Barcelona.

At the end we had to wait to board the boat, so we paid to let the children drive in a place that were letting children drive small motorized cars.

Laura surprised us....I thought she would be shy and rather demure behind the wheel of a car for the first time. She turned into Laura Fitipaldia or something! She even ran another poor little fellow off his course!

Watching her became an event for all of us...For all the fun Laura was having, and all the fun the spectators were having, we decided it was the best 300 pesetas ever spent!

Once on the boat we got to see Barcelona from the sea.

Afterwards, come the night, a subway ride away, we were in for an incredible treat.
