Winter of 2003 actually began in 2002!
Before Christmas, during Christmas and then
it just took on a snowy life of its own January.
But then, along came the Presidents Day
Weekend....3 feet (almost a meter) of that
white stuff!

Maryland was proclaimed in a state of
emergency by our new governor, and
literally everything was CLOSED. Why
for a short time, it was illegal to drive!

Here in Abingdon, in our little area of
Constant Friendship, there was nothing
we could do, but watch it fall....pace
ourselves for the shoveling out that was
to come.........

It started pretty and picturesque...	Even Laura didn't have a care in the world...	Snow forts and snow battles were the order of the day...until.....
the BLIZZARD of 2003! Where's My Van?	The neighborhood was begining to look like it was sinking.....	Neighbors cars were disappearing!
Well into the 2nd day of this 3 day mess, Miquel looks upon it, knowing his fate...	...shoveling!!!!!!	Even the last day when they said it was over...it wasn't, more came!
At the end of it all, we were just a winter wonderland and trying to survive it!	The icicles out my office window told a sad tale of cold..	But finally on the forth day, the sun came out! Look at that hill, usuall reserved for sledding. None dared try this time! Fear to lose a child in that!
